Fred Safstrom

Chief Executive Officer


Fred served on the Housing Hope Board of Directors from 1996-2006. He joined the Housing Hope staff in 2006 as the Chief Operating Officer. He has a BBA from Seattle University. Fred was recently promoted to the Chief Executive Officer position for both Housing Hope and HopeWorks.

Cynthia Eichner

Director of Community Development

Cynthia has extensive work experience in nonprofit and for-profit organizations where she established and instituted employee communications and community relations, led organizational change initiatives, and created award-winning community outreach programs.  She has a passion for people, process, and culture and develops integrated communications & programs that connect people to process, vision to sustainable action, and elevate community & culture.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Central Washington University and advanced certifications in Nonprofit and Healthcare Leadership from the University of Washington and UCLA.

Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Maybruck brings over 20 years of management experience to her role as HopeWorks’ Chief Operating Officer. Her diverse career includes broad fundraising experience in major gifts, special events, marketing, grant writing, and donor relationship management. She has worked in both the non-profit and business sectors and has experience in developing and executing employment training programs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University and a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Dianne Easley

Director of Making Things Happen

Dianne retired from the Boeing Company in 2011 as Vice President of Human Resources for Engineering, Operations and Technology. In this role she was responsible for the successful implementation of strategies and initiatives that help drive technical and functional excellence and successful business performance. She currently spends two days a week volunteering with HopeWorks in an HR partnering role and working on special projects. In addition, she participates as a member of the Housing Hope HR committee. Dianne also volunteers with the Puget Sound Kidney Foundation and Providence General Children’s Foundation. Dianne is a lifelong resident of Everett, a graduate of Everett High School and Washington State University.

Director of Ground Works Landscaping

Jim has 12 years of experience in the Landscape Industry. His experience varies from landscaping construction skills to hardscapes, irrigation, water features, drainage operations, lighting, proper plant recognition and installations. Jim’s specialty is quality control procedures and safety is his number one objective.

Kandi Graber is a resale expert with over 30 years of experience in business. Furniture and home decor design are her passion. Kandi's hobbies include display merchandising, design, flea market shopping and relaxing at the beach with family.

Nick Montanari

Director of Social Enterprise Development

Nick harnesses his multipotentialite abilities to help develop HopeWorks Social Enterprises. He comes with experiences in a variety of nonprofit settings and skills in program evaluation. He's overseen the growth of HopeWorks AmeriCorps VISTA program and helped developed systems and tools for sustainable social enterprises. Nick graduated with his Master in Public Administration degree from the University of Idaho. During his undergraduate degree at Washington State University, he tracked the most volunteer hours as a student (over 1,200 hours). Nick enjoys volunteering, woodworking, and getting outdoors.

Director of Kindred Kitchen

Karin Resing brings more than 25 years of experience in both the social services and small business sectors to her role as Director of Kindred Kitchen.  She has had an eclectic career including running her own restaurant and supporting families in crisis stabilize through safe housing and employment opportunities.   Her passions include design, cooking, gardening, volunteer work, and spending time with family.

Director of Employment, Education, & Training

With a resume that started in Bellingham before taking her to Sydney, Australia and ultimately landing in Everett, Kelsey’s background is in fundraising and PR, not social services. This experience brings a unique perspective to the EE&T team and having worked at Housing Hope for almost 9 years she is passionate about the mission. Typically on weekends you can find Kelsey camping, skiing, at a concert, or at a social event (pre-COVID), ideally with husband, two small humans and dog, Dallas.
