Through the use of cross sector collaboration and building the capacity of organizations in Snohomish County. Our AmeriCorps Members and partnering organizations are providing opportunities & resources to people in poverty so they can climb out of poverty is the mission of the HopeWorks VISTA Program.

National Service

Since 1965, AmeriCorps members in the VISTA program have joined the fight against poverty. 

The VISTA program serves in each of the 50 U.S. states and in all U.S. territories. Each full time member serving as an AmeriCorps member serves one year, dedicating their time and talent to their sponsoring organization.

Host an AmeriCorps Member

Build capacity within your organization; apply to host an AmeriCorps member through the HopeWorks VISTA Program.

Members Receive

  • Bi-Weekly Paid Living Allowance

  • Professional Development and Training

  • Networking Opportunities

  • Basic Health Coverage

  • Relocation Allowance (if Eligible)

  • Student Loan Deferment/Forbearance (If Eligible)

  • Childcare Assistance (If Eligible)

  • Choice of Segal Education Award or Cash Stipend

  • Non-Competitive Eligibility Letter

Organizations Receive

  • Dedicated administrative support and training from HopeWorks

  • Expert training/webinars from AmeriCorps

  • Recruitment support from HopeWorks

  • Dedicated AmeriCorps Member for one year for low cost of $7500

The HopeWorks VISTA Program is currently comprised of 10 AmeriCorps members and 1 Leader grouped within two cohorts. They come from a wide range of backgrounds and degrees and each have their own personal reasons for dedicating a year of service in helping their organization build capacity in a sustainable project.
